Can Xic

Ibiza

Bared
soul.

There is an old finca at the heart of Can Xic, now modernised and transformed into a luxurious home with a true Ibiza soul. Leaving exterior walls unrendered is not a common sight in Ibiza, however, this villa was calling out for more rustic detailing. Privacy and discretion are the cornerstones of its design while the raw stone walls allow the house to melt gently into the landscape and exist organically within a for-est environment.

In the past, practicality dictated that flat terraces were left for crops, so this sloping plot did not come without challenges to maintain equilibrium and capitalise on the existing footprint. The effect of the exposed stone is tempered by contemporary in-terior styling, enlarged skylights, an impressive art collection and a palette of pale woods, whites and greys.

Each bedroom is accompanied by a private courtyard with an outdoor shower while the main entrance is styled after the portal de feixa, a traditional Ibizan architectural element with roots in Ancient Egypt.
