Providenciales, or ‘Provo’ in the local parlance, is known for its expansive coral reef, vibrant culture blending indigenous Taino, African, and British colonial influences, and a history rich in salt raking and sponge farming. Today, Provo’s economy thrives on tourism, centred around its famous Grace Bay Beach, in addition to an increasing number of more permanent transplants from all corners of the globe. This striking slice of paradise is fast becoming the hotspot for second or even third homes.
